Last week, our team joined the City of Zephyrhills, @[The A.D. Morgan Corporation](urn:li:organization:1163094), and project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Zephyrhills Public Works Complex.
This transformative project represents a major investment in the City’s future operations and infrastructure, supporting continued growth while enhancing essential public services for the community.
Designed by CPH, the project includes a new 14,400 SF Administration Building, fleet maintenance facilities, utilities support spaces, and additional site improvements across the public works campus. The phased master plan was carefully developed to maintain ongoing operations while preparing the site for long term growth and efficiency.
During the ceremony, @[John Lenti](urn:li:person:6Tk3x2BGHf) shared remarks highlighting the team’s commitment to delivering a project that will serve the City for years to come. Two multi-million dollar projects designed by Mittauer & Associates and funded by USDA Rural Development will be under construction within the next 60 days - City of Lawtey Wastewater Collection Facilities Improvements project for $4.4 million & Town of Bronson Wastewater System Extensions project for $2 million. Once completed, these two projects will bring tremendous growth and economic opportunities to our client communities.
FUNDING UPDATE – The Suwannee River Water Management District recently awarded grant monies to 11 communities in the State of Florida in the amount of $1.5 million through the 2014 RIVER Cost-share Program. Through our assistance, 6 of our clients received funding for needed utility improvements projects in their communities. The total grant award to our clients was $400,000. We are excited about this new grant opportunity that is available to our client communities.

Today marks the close of the DEO CDBG 6-week funding cycle for Federal Fiscal Year 2013. Our team successfully designed 9 NR projects in a 6-week timeframe to assist our clients in obtaining extra points on their CDBG applications. The CDBG program has approximately $9 million set aside in the Neighborhood Revitalization category in this funding cycle. Due to our team’s tremendous effort, many of our clients are now positioned to qualify for this competitive funding.
