CPH History

CPH's rich history dates back to the 1960s when it first opened as a branch office of a national engineering firm. CPH was established when the three engineers bought out the interests of the firm's office, and established Conklin, Porter, and Holmes in 1981, with a focus on providing quality and responsive services to clients. From a modest beginning, we have grown into a multi-disciplined firm with over 400 employees across 19 offices nationwide. Consistently ranked among Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 Design Firms, CPH remains dedicated to delivering exceptional consulting services that shape the built environment and improve the communities we serve.

CPH’s history dates back to the 1960s, performing services as a branch office of a then national firm Clark Dietz and Associates (CDA). When CDA decided to close its doors in certain markets, the founders of CPH (Cal Conklin, Paul Porter, and Bill Holmes) purchased their local assets and incorporated as CPH in 1981.
